Study system

1- The study at the College of Medicine in Rabigh follows the full academic year system

2- The study includes six academic years, followed by a compulsory training year (one year of distinction)

3- The study consists of three academic stages, representing the first academic year (the preparatory year), the second and third years (the first stage - basic medical sciences), and the fourth, fifth and sixth academic years (the second stage - clinical sciences)

4- The study in the two phases of the preparatory year and the first phase follow the semester system within the full academic year system.

5- The study in the second academic stage follows a multi-week course system within the full academic year system.

6- The student progresses in the study and succeeds in the academic years decisions in accordance with the provisions of the transition from one academic year to another.

The total number of academic units is 262

After completing the bachelor’s requirements outlined above, students spend a whole year (12 months) in training in one of the hospitals accredited by the college, and this period is called an “internship year”.
